- About Us
Recognizing that the community's challenges and needs will change, donors have established community endowment funds to address the changing needs of Carroll County now and forever. Donors can entrust the Foundation with the selection of the most needed programs to receive grant funding based on a competitive process.
The Carroll County Community Foundation has awarded $42,989 in competitive grants and $12,000 in rapid response grants during 2020.2020 Competitive Grants
Donors may identify one or more charitable organizations to receive an income stream forever. If at some time in the future the named charity is no longer recognized as a 501(c)(3) organization, the Foundation Board of Directors has the variance power to select another organization with a similar purpose to benefit from the fund.
In 2020, the Carroll County Community Foundation distributed $359,071 in designated/agency grants to organizations as identified by donors.2020 Designated/Agency Grants
Donors may be actively involved in the grantmaking process by recommending which qualified charitable organizations should receive grants from their advised fund. These flexible funds enable donors to address a wide variety of issues as their charitable interests and priorities change over time.
In 2020, the Carroll County Community Foundation distributed $254,596 in donor advised grants.2020 Donor Advised, Non-Permanent and Special Project Grants
The Carroll County Community Foundation was established in 1997. The purpose of the Foundation is to serve the interests of donors, to make grants, and to act as a catalyst around issues of community importance in Carroll County.
