Community Foundation Scholars

JOHN AND KATHIE CONNELLY SCHOLARSHIP

Mekenzie Gear, daughter of Jennifer Roth and Scott Gear, is a graduate of Delphi Community High School.  She plans to attend Purdue University and enter the pre-veterinary program.

CAROLYN S. GILBERT SCHOLARSHIP

Ashlyn Brewer, daughter of James and Tracy Brewer, is a Carroll High School graduate. She will be attending Western New England University to study pharmacy.

INDIANA PACKERS SCHOLARSHIP

Adam Shanks, son of Daniel and Tara Lynn Shanks, is a graduate of Delphi Community High School.  Adam plans to study agriculture at Purdue University.

IRVING E. MANNING SCHOLARSHIP

Baylee Benn, daughter of Anne Couk, is a Carroll High School graduate.  She plans to attend Ball State University and study botany. 

Receiving renewal scholarships are Drew MCombs, Kylie Wagoner and Justin Willoughby.

ROBERT & JOAN MAXWELL SCHOLARSHIP

Emily Kender, daughter of Keith and Laurie Kender, is a Delphi Community High School graduate.  She will study graphic design at Purdue University.

JOHN McCORMICK AGRICULTURAL SCHOLARSHIP

Noah Rider, son of Paul Rider and Janie Rider, is a Delphi Community High School graduate.  He plans to attend Purdue University and study animal science.

MID-NORTH INDIANA EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE FOR CHRIST SCHOLARSHIP

Abigayle Burns is the daughter of Richard and Beth Burns and is a Carroll High School graduate.  She will study animal science at Allen Community College.

James Champ is the son of Edward and Christina Champ and is a Lewis Cass High School graduate.  He plans to study engineering at Tennessee Technological University.

Danielle Memmer is the daughter of Daniel and Paula Memmer and is a Rossville High School graduate.  She will study radiography at Indiana University Purdue University Fort Wayne.

LEWIS & HAZEL MULLIN SCHOLARSHIP

Adam Zink, son of Jon and Kathalene Zink, is a Delphi Community High School graduate.  He will attend Wabash College to study physical therapy.

BILL PEARSON SCHOLARSHIP

Kolt Kinsler, son of Burton Kinsler and Renee Kinsler, is a graduate of Delphi Community High School.  Kolt plans to study agriculture at Purdue University.

DOROTHY STARK SCHOLARSHIP

Wyatt Rumell, son of Brian and Darlene Rumell, is a graduate of Delphi Community High School.  He plans to attend Ball State University to study respiratory therapy.

ROBERT THORNBURG SCHOLARSHIP

Madison Rinehart, daughter of Bret and Michelle Rinehart, is a Carroll High School graduate.  She will study agriculture at Purdue University.

LILLY ENDOWMENT COMMUNITY SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

The Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship Program is designed to raise the level of educational attainment in Indiana and to leverage further the ability of Indiana's community foundations to enhance the quality of life of the state's residents.

There were 20 qualified and eligible Carroll County students who applied for the scholarship. A committee of volunteers evaluated the applications and selected finalists who were interviewed by the Carroll County Community Foundation scholarship committee. These finalists, now the Carroll County Community Foundation Scholars, are:

CARROLL COUNTY COMMUNITY FOUNDATION SCHOLARS

Shari Bowers, daughter of Troy and Alice Bowers, is a graduate of Carroll High School. She will attend the University of Southern Indiana to study psychology.

Mekenzie Gear, daughter of Jennifer Roth and Scott Gear, is a graduate of Delphi Community High School.  She plans to attend Purdue University and enter the pre-veterinary program.

LILLY ENDOWMENT COMMUNITY SCHOLAR

The 2015 recipient of the Lilly Endowment Scholarship is:

Angela Musall, daughter of Brian and Jamie Musall, is a Twin Lakes High School graduate.  Angela will attend Purdue University to study biomedical engineering.
